Cuponk
Cuponk, a game which Hasbro created specifically for outdoors play, is suggested for ages 9 and greater. It was released for the 2010 holiday season. It really started out in 2010 as only three different games – the Cuponk “Gorrilanator”, “El Campeon” and “Let it R.I.P” version. It’s a great way to break everyone way from their TVs and PCs. It’s an extremely enjoyable and somewhat difficult game for any number of players – from large groups to single players.
The object of all versions is exactly same, namely to toss a ball, similar to a ping pong ball, into a cup. Included as a part of the game is a deck of cards with directions that you must follow as you throw the ball. Example, the card may say to “bounce the ball on your head and the pavement – you must do this to collect the indicated points. If the player makes the shot, the game will make a distinct sound and light up. The “Gorrilanator” will sound like of a gorilla, the “El Campeon” like a crazed wrestler and the “R.I.P” game like a zombie. As you play, Cuponk plays little victory songs through its speakers.
The ball itself is fairly soft and just a little heavier than a ping pong ball and having a small much less bounce to it, so there is little danger of it breaking any objects. There are also several more variations to each version of Cuponk.. The “Gorrilanator” can have a ramp leading to the opening,“El Campeon” includes a funnel and “Let it R.I.P” includes a back again board, similar to a basket ball hoop. In addition to the directions given by the cards, you will get ideas to create your personal special moves. In the event you miss, it’s the next players turn to create those special moves.
One of the main benefits of Cuponk is that it will assist in enhancing hand/eye coordination of the players. For kids, in an enjoyable and creative way, it will enhance cognitive and creative skills, as well as improving motor skills.
